Crepe City Magazine proudly releases their third issue, exactly a year after their inaugural release. Despite only being around for a relatively short time, CC Mag has established itself as one of the leading sneaker publications, known for it’s interesting interviews, excellent photography and stylish layout and design. Customers yet again have the choice between two different covers for the third issue; the adidas Originals EQT and Walt “Clyde” Frazier.
Published in an ongoing partnership with TDS Agency, I feel that this issue is the strongest yet from the UK-based publication, not to take anything away from the previous two issues however. Updated with a new larger format, this issue welcomes a selection of new writers and creative talent, noticeably Colophon Foundry who have added exclusive typefaces throughout, giving the magazine a special finish.
This issue dives deeper into the people and cultures connected to sneakers, with a wide range of features and editorials including interviews with Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier, Bobbito Garcia, Jon Tang of FRONTEER, and Christian Tressor, designer of the Nike Zoom Air Spiridon. Upon reading the magazine, the first feature is an in-depth piece about feminist equality, featuring interviews with various women who play an important role in the sneaker industry, making for a great read.
It’s great to see the attention to detail in every aspect of the publication to create a collectible finished product that is perfect for not only the coffee table but also the book shelf; a feat that is not always achieved with publications. CC Mag 003 is now available through select sneaker stores and online here.
